This stavkirke is located in Hoyjord and was built at the fall of XII century. The church was later rebuilt. Today's state of the church is due to the last renovation which took place in 1950 and thanks to it there has been discovered an original log construction of this building. Hoyjord temple is one of the two preserved churches which interior contains a pillar or a post in the middle. Apart from the central post there are 12 more supporting ones which style is very unique.
